Over 100 Chief Executives Officers of Private Security Organisations have gathered in Kampala this morning to dialogue on the role of Labor Unions in Uganda. The meeting is being coordinated by ATGWU(Almagamated Transporters and General Workers Union and NOTU (National Organisation of Trade Unions) sponsored by Friendrich Ebert Stiftung
Grace Matsiko, Chairman Private Security Organisations in his welcome remarks said, this was a great opportunity for CEOs of the different companies to meet the Commissioner Police in Charge of Private Security Industry, Afande Charles Ssebambulinde, and officials from the Ministry of Gender to discuss about the advantages of joining labor unions.
Among the resource persons to address Chief Executive Officers of Private Security Companies include Stephen Abima Secretary-General ATGWU, Alex Asiimwe Commissioner Labor Industrial Relations, and Productivity, Ms Julian Nyachwo Employment Relations Specialist Federation of Uganda Employers, Usher Wilson Owere Chairman General NOTU and others.
